Staff are always on hand to help job seekers use the various facilities available and provide one-to-one advice on all aspects of their job search. Members of the team are all skilled in providing help and advice and can draw on many years practical experience in widely different careers. In consequence, it is possible to provide information and advice to match each client's needs.

Carrie - HUMAN RESOURCES AND CAREERS GUIDANCE SPECIALIST Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance. Worked in the private, public and voluntary sectors as an HR Officer; an Advisor with Citizens Advice and a Work Preparation/Enterprise Consultant for a local Education Business Partnership. Currently working as an independent Careers Consultant.
Dave C - TELECOMMUNICATIONS EXPERT with skills ranging across technical, business planning/strategy, financial modelling, sales/marketing support, proposal, contract negotiation and all aspects of staff management. Ran own one-man company for six years. A previous client of WJSC.
Dave L - CONSULTANT ON ORGANISATION DEVELOPMENT AND HR in the public and private sectors. Earlier worked in a major manufacturing company in a variety of positions including production and quality leadership. Eight years experience as HR Operations Manager.
Dave M - MECHANICAL SERVICES MANAGER Mechanical Services Engineer, worked for the same company for many years supplying equipment and services to many types of industry. Involved with in house technical training and writing open learning systems.
Don - BUSINESS CONSULTANT with experience ranging across a wide spectrum of human resources and project and business management disciplines. Proven success as a people manager and coach, most recently supplying retraining and outplacement services for a major local company.
Doug - CHARTERED CIVIL ENGINEER with wide ranging experience in the design and construction of civil engineering and building projects. Experience includes client liaison, procurement, planning, project and company financial control, contract administration and the hiring and training of staff.
Ian - OPERATIONAL & HR MANAGER with many years' experience of working for large international IT product & service companies in the UK and overseas. Worked in pre and post sales, project and customer account support roles. Experienced in staff and contractor recruitment. Personal experience of redundancy, outplacement support and dealing with the Government Jobcentre Plus.
Ivy - SENIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT dealing also with interviewing, recruitment and training of non-technical staff and providing out placement services to staff. Trained as a general front-line counsellor with ARC. Particularly able to provide advice to clients returning to work after a career break.
John - CHARTERED CHEMIST with a lifetime of experience in scientific research and development in the food industry, leading research teams and also working under contract as a consultant. Has experience of self-employment, having started a small business.
Nicola - RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT – PHYSIO ASSISTANT – ADMINISTRATOR experienced in advising on CV preparation and interview techniques. Nicola has a broad range of knowledge from a varied working history. Worked in the private and public sector. Also personal experience of redundancy and un-employment.
Rebecca - ADMIN & HR MANAGER has worked many years in both commercial and charity sectors. Experience spans IT software & hardware production, stores, export inspection, direct selling, mail order, business start-up, self-employment & volunteering. Personal experience of redundancy, unemployment and successfully returning to work.
Sue - LOCAL GOVERNMENT IT MANAGER experienced in software implementation and business consultancy. Recruited and managed teams of technical staff. Involved in the outsourcing of technical services and the management of IT service providers.
Sylvia - HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER for 15 years. Following redundancy, worked in interim HR positions across a wide range of industries including retail. Specialist expertise includes recruitment, performance management, coaching and training.
We are always pleased to hear from anyone interested in joining our team of volunteer advisers. If you feel you would like to help local unemployed people get back into work and have appropriate experience and can spare 2 hours a week on a regular basis, we would very much like to meet you and show you what we do.
