Our main financial support comes through annual grants from Wokingham Borough Council, Wokingham Town Council and Bracknell Town Council. This core funding is augmented by funding from Town and Parish Councils within the Borough. Currently we receive support from Wokingham, Woodley and Earley Town Councils and Arborfield, Barkham, Finchampstead, Shinfield, St Nicholas Hurst, Winnersh and Wokingham Without Parish Councils. • We are also grateful to other organisations for project funding: Berkshire Neighbourhood Learning Centre for their funding for updating and maintenance of our IT equipment.
• In 2003 Berkshire Community Foundation provided invaluable support through the European Social Funding, which allowed us to completely renew our computer systems. Support has also been provided for training of staff and in 2008 a grant was made that recognised the value of opening our service to residents of Bracknell Forest.
• The Community Council for Berkshire for providing funding through the Community Champions scheme to cover the costs of laptop computers for use in outreach work and to provide additional workstations for use on a day-to-day basis by clients.
• The Lions Club of Wokingham for donating bookcases to display our extensive library.
• GE Power Systems for donating a laptop computer.
• Microsoft for donation of software.

We should also like to thank the many clients who have made donations to support our work or given practical help.

PARTNERS

The majority of our clients are referred to us by the Jobcentre Plus in Bracknell or Reading: the cooperation we receive in working with these two Job Centres contributes much to the timeliness with which we are able to deliver a service to the newly unemployed in Wokingham Borough.

Connexions offers an advice and guidance service from its offices in Milton Road specially aimed at the needs of 16 to 19 year olds.
